About Me

Hello! My name is Lilah and I am obsessed with moths, bugs and all things critter.

I have been doing art my whole life and started raising moths as a hobby around 2019. During the pandemic I was sequestered at home with no job and was able to really dive head first into the hobby.

Since then I have learned a lot about insects, artwork and I continue to grow and learn more every day.

Something I focus on heavily in my business is sustainability, sourcing insects responsibly and educating about where things come from and why we should care.

I raise many of my own insects and those I don’t raise myself often come from conservation farms- one way to reduce our global footprint.

I recycle as much as possible so it is not uncommon to find odds and ends used as packaging in your order, daily newspapers, spare tissue, Styrofoam and boxes recycled from packages I have received and so forth. I am always open to answering questions about the sustainability of my artwork!

Outside of insects, I focus heavily on other natural sciences. I love critters of all kinds and love to represent them in my work. Recently I have been moving towards other avenues of artwork and am always learning new forms of media. You can find me on instagram with frequent updates about what I’m working on!

I also regularly teach insect pinning classes at Paxton Gate in Portland, Oregon.

You can find my artwork at many stores in the PNW including
